County property tax statements mailed to taxpayers
Clatsop County property tax statements for 2023-2024 are being mailed to taxpayers.
The statements account for $110.9 million to fund county government services, city services, education, the Port of Astoria and rural fire protection and other special districts.
An increase of $7.6 million — 7% — compared to last year is due to several factors, including the 3% increase in assessed value on most properties, new construction activity and new or increased taxing district levies and bonds.
Property taxes must be paid in full and received or postmarked by Nov. 15 to be eligible for the 3% discount.
