Salmon fishing is open on the main stem of the Columbia River below Bonneville Dam through the end of the year.

Fishery managers from Oregon and Washington state decided last week to reopen salmon fishing from west Puget Island to Warrior Rock and for fishing to remain open from Warrior Rock to Bonneville Dam as of Friday.

The bag limit is two salmon, one of which may be a Chinook. Hatchery steelhead may also be taken from Nov. 1 through Dec. 31 as part of the daily salmon bag limit.
