A member of the Oregon Army National Guard’s 442nd Engineer Utility Detachment holds their newly earned coin of excellence at Camp Rilea in Warrenton on June 29. Lt. Col. Catherine J. Palmberg chose to award the coins to the group for their contributions to base improvement projects in Hermiston, as well as community service projects in Clatsop County. Palmberg, a resident of Clatsop County, is the garrison commander of the Raymond F. Rees Training Center in Hermiston.
