The Astoria swim teams are the post-season teams to beat in the upcoming league and district meets, as the Fishermen closed the regular season with another dual meet sweep Friday at the Astoria Aquatic Center.

Finishing the season with a perfect record, Astoria topped Scappoose 89-71 on the boys’ side, and the Lady Fish cruised past the Indians, 121-47.

Highlight wins included victories in the 500-yard freestyle for Astoria’s Hannah Daniels and Trevor Newman, Emelia Cameron in the 100-yard freestyle, and 50-yard freestyle winners Christian Womack and Kelsey Loyola.

Cody Crisp and Gwen Rouda also had big meets for Astoria, who were celebrating senior night.
