Fort Clatsop Visitor Center and bookstore open during construction

The Visitor Center at Fort Clatsop is being remodeled, but the hours, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., will remain the same.

However, visitors will be rerouted to enter the Visitor Center through side doors. The Lewis & Clark National Park Association Bookstore is also open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, and can be accessed through the alternate Visitor Center entrance.

During construction, the parking lot closest to the Visitor Center is closed, but parking will is still available the Visitor Center overflow lot and at Netul Landing.

The remodel is needed to increase energy efficiency by replacing windows and outdated systems. Visitor bathrooms will also be replaced and upgraded; portable facilities are available until the project is completed.
