CANNON BEACH — The City Council on Tuesday rescinded its emergency declaration for the coronavirus pandemic and replaced it with a more limited declaration.

The purpose of the declaration is to allow restaurants to continue overflow outdoor dining while businesses continue to recover from the pandemic. Overflow outdoor dining was permitted during the emergency.

The declaration will sunset after Labor Day unless extended by the City Council.
