Wedding: Monsantofils

Monica Monsantofils, of Astoria, exchanged wedding vows with Stuart Emmons, also of Astoria, on March 5 on the beach at Gearhart. The groom’s parents are the late William Stuart and Clare Austin Emmons.

The bride was given in marriage by her son, Joseph J. Lennox. U.S. Coast Guard Lt. Cmdr. John Jacob Briggs performed the ceremony. Music was provided by the ocean.

Matron of honor was Courtney Monsantofils, of San Francisco. Best man was Will Emmons, of Washington, D.C.

The bride attended Scappoose High School, Eastern Washington University and King’s College in London. She is a region specialist in preventive dentistry.

The groom, an architect, graduated from The Hill School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, in 1973, from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, with a bachelor’s degree in architecture in 1986, and from Harvard University with a master’s degree in architecture in 1988.

A reception was held in Gearhart.

The couple will reside in Astoria.
