Soja Shamizadeh and Matthew Weidman

Soja Shamizadeh, of Munich, exchanged wedding vows with Matthew Weidman, also of Munich, on Sept. 3, 2021, at the courthouse/town hall in Miesbach, Germany. He is the son of Peter and Janet Weidman, of Astoria.

The bride is a dermatologist and has a dermatology practice in Munich.

The groom has a Ph.D. in laser optics, and is employed by the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics.

The couple, who will continue to reside in Munich, honeymooned in Italy.
