Warrenton

April 9, 1942 — Sept. 9, 2018

Rose Thompson, of Warrenton, left us to be with the Lord on Sept. 9, 2018.

She is survived by her husband, Bud Thompson, and beloved children, Paula Thompson, Mathew Thompson and Mark Thompson. Her extended family included her beautiful stepdaughters, Wendy Coburn and Teri Woodroof, her loving daughter-in-law, Rachel, son-in-law, Gary Woodroof, and Mat’s partner, Melody Munson.

A devoted nana, she loved her brood of grandchildren, Zach Otramba, Emily, Sarah and Jessica Woodroof, and Sophia, Audrey, Olive, Violet and Charlotte Thompson.

After several years as a motel manager at the Oceantel in Seaside, Rose moved on to the Bank of Astoria, where many of her customers would wait in line just for the chance to enjoy her gruff but funny banter. After retirement, she enjoyed trips to Egypt and Italy, and continued her unwavering devotion to the Oakland Raiders and the NFL. A wonderful, yet humble cook, Rose’s fantastic seafood and Italian meals were as legendary as her critique of bad cooking shows!

In 2017, Rose and Bud celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a Catholic blessing at St. Francis De Sales.

She was loved, and will be missed.
