David Moore

David Lewis Moore passed away in Tucson, Arizona, on May 12, 2018, at the age of 75. He had been dealing with cancer and multiple sclerosis, and he died peacefully.

David was born in Astoria, Oregon, on May 8, 1943, and lived there until his graduation from Star of the Sea High School. He attended Gonzaga University on a basketball scholarship, and was a very good athlete. He finished college at the University of Oregon.

David graduated with a degree in law from Lewis and Clark College. He practiced law in the Medford area, and also had a long career in business endeavors.

David enjoyed living in sunny places, residing in California and Arizona. David loved to read, golf and travel, especially to places in the U.S. and Europe. His last two years were spent in the sunny atmosphere of Arizona.

David is survived by his daughter, Christina; a stepdaughter, Kathy; six brothers and sisters; and Uncle Paul Moore and Aunt Eddy Moore. His burial will be at Ocean View Cemetery near Astoria. Services are being arranged.

David will be missed by all who knew him. He had a strong spirit, and overcame many challenges. May he rest in peace in God’s presence with his parents, Eugene Moore and Eleanor Moore, and his brother, Lawrence, who preceded him in death.
