Astoria Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution members Evelyn Laughman, Sandra Fuller and Sue Glen returned from the Oregon State Society Daughters of the American Revolution state conference in Lebanon, where Fuller was elected state organizing secretary for the 2018-2020 term. Glen was appointed state parliamentarian for the two-year term.

Members of the chapter will dedicate the Judge John Buchanan marker at Ocean View Cemetery at 10 a.m. Monday, and hold a flag retirement ceremony at Fort Stevens historical area at 1 p.m. June 14, Flag Day. The public is invited to attend both events.
