On Feb. 17 and Feb. 18, no fishing licenses or tags are required. Other restrictions, including closures, bag limits and size restrictions, still apply. The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife provides a weekly recreation report on its website with information about the best fishing, crabbing or clamming opportunities. It is updated each Wednesday.
The state offers eight free fishing days each year.
