“I manage a business, Heidi Aphrodite Photography, and we just put on a contest that included 37 different women nominated by friends,” Katie Camberg wrote. “It was called the Beyond Beautiful, Bestfriend Contest.” The nominee with the most online votes for her photo receives a photography session with makeup and styling, and several gifts from local businesses who partnered with Heidi Aphrodite to celebrate “amazing women.”

The winner, Brianna Primmer (pictured), 23, received almost 700 votes. She has had a rough 2017, with several medical issues, hospital admissions and emergency room stays. “She is incredible, and battling so much!” Katie observed.

“I spend a lot of time trying to heal, raise awareness for these (medical) conditions, and spread positivity, while also watching mass amounts of Netflix,” Brianna wrote. “I am so completely blessed by all the love and support I have been given during the hardest year of my life. If I could give any advice, it would be: ‘Never give up, don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do something, spread love, and always be yourself.’ I am so grateful, beyond words, thank you.”

“So many incredible women took part in this contest!” Katie added. “You each truly make a difference in all you do.”
