Sara Alsbury of Bakersfield, California, daughter of Lynn and Rose Alsbury of Green Valley, Arizona, exchanged wedding vows with Lonnie Terrell II, also of Bakersfield, at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, at Metro Galleries in Bakersfield, where the reception was also held. The groom is the son of Cynthia Terrell and Duran Hathaway of Bakersfield.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. The bride’s brother, Brian Alsbury of Warrenton, performed the ceremony.

The bride graduated from Astoria High School in 2004, and eared a bachelor’s degree in geology from Oregon State University in 2010. She is employed by Baker Hughes in Bakersfield.

The maid of honor was Susan Forrester Rana of Oakland, California, also a 2004 graduate of Astoria High School.

The groom is a 1998 graduate of Tehachapi High School in Tehachapi, California, and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He is a safety manager for Dragados USA.

The best man was Richard Miley of Athens, Georgia, also a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

A honeymoon trip to Belize is planned for October.
