Matthew Crichton and Erin Tinney

Donna Tinney of Shelton, Washington, announces the engagement of her daughter, Erin Tinney, of Shelton, to Matthew Crichton, also of Shelton. He is the son of Helen Pitkanen of Astoria and the late David Crichton.

The bride-to-be graduated from Choice High School in Shelton in 1997, and received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Evergreen State College in 2010. She is an in-home care nurse.

The prospective groom received a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Portland in 2000, and a master’s degree in teaching (mathematics) from Western Oregon University in 2017. He is a teacher.

The wedding takes place Saturday at Sunset Beach in Warrenton.
