Terry Brooks

Author Terry Brooks will be at the Cannon Beach Book Company from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 24.

He’ll be signing copies of his newest book, the first in The Fall of Shannara series, “The Black Elfstone.”  This is the beginning of the epic conclusion of the Shannara series that has been sparking readers’ imaginations since The Sword of Shannara was first published in 1977. The series has recently inspired a TV adaptation, The Shannara Chronicles, which just wrapped filming for its second season. 

In addition to being a worldwide sensation (author Brent Weeks called him “a master of the craft and a trailblazer who established fantasy as a viable genre”), Brooks is a hometown favorite. He and his wife, Judine, are Pacific Northwesterners who split their time between Seattle and the North Coast. They are an integral part of our community and have been instrumental in the creation and development of Get Lit at the Beach, Cannon Beach’s annual gathering for readers.

Books will be available for purchase in-store.  Come by between 12 and 2 for a chat and an autograph!
