Local PEO Chapter FE has received the PEO state award, given for granting more scholarships than any other chapter in the state to deserving women. Eleven scholarships in total were given to women in professional courses, vocational programs or graduate school.

The following women demonstrated seriousness of purpose, excellent character, exemplary citizenship, good scholarship and financial need. They have earned scholarships, grants and low-interest loans: Shirine Taylor of Bend, Margaret Strogyk-Hayes of Seaside, Veronica Miller of Portland, Stephanie Teahn of Lafayette, Kinley Lally of Sherwood, and Ronda Grudenic, Sarah Pope, Tess Rund, Daria Van De Grift and Noelle Lund, all of Astoria.
PEO International has given nearly $283 million to nearly 99,000 recipients.
