Evergreen Masonic Lodge in Seaside presented the 2017 annual scholastic achievement awards at a ceremony May 7, under the direction of Worshipful Master Art Herring, recognizing juniors and seniors of Seaside High School who have attained a 3.50 or better GPA. The guest speaker was Seaside Police Chief Dave Hamm.

Juniors receiving certificates were Bryre Babbit, Dawson Blanchard, Colton Carter, Jessica Chisholm, Corrie Falleur, Kylee Finn, Logan Gandy, Jetta Ideue, Danielle Keen, GeriAnn Klaffke, Faythe Koontz, Isaiah Lippold, Ashley Scott and Rafael Sibony.

For the seniors, certificates were awarded to Christian Angeles, Elizabeth Barns, Lucille Bodner, Paola Campuzano Tovar, Cadyn Carr, Rebekah Cox, Emma Dutcher, Adrianna Gaspar Roque, Kara Ipson, Jackson Januik, Caroline Kotson, Kristin Lent, Emily Matlock, Alejandra Mayes, Diania Nolazco, Mica Ellazen Paranal, Bradley Rzewnicki, Carson Schulte, Josephine Smith, Summer Spell, Hunter Thompson, Madelynn Utti, Sydney Villegas and Alexis Wingenbach.

In addition to certificates of recognition, the lodge also presented $500 scholarships to graduating seniors Kara Ipson and Jackson Januik.

Light refreshments were served to the recognized students, faculty, families and friends.
