The Astoria Department of Motor Vehicles office will be closed March 22 through March 24 to upgrade the public restroom to meet Americans with Disabilities Act standards.

The state Department of Transportation recently completed ADA assessments of its buildings and identified Astoria’s DMV public restroom as a location needing an upgrade.

The office will close 5 p.m. Tuesday for the remodeling project and reopen 9 a.m. March 27. The office, 705 W. Marine Dr., is normally open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Oregon DMV recommends that people who must visit a DMV office in person first visit OregonDMV.com to find office hours and locations, and to make sure they have everything they need before visiting. Customer wait times for most DMV offices, including Astoria’s, are also available.

Online users can renew vehicle registrations, file a change of address or file notice of a vehicle sale.
