Our coast at work

- Tyler Neale, assembly mechanic at Lektro Inc., works to assemble an airplane tug.
For Labor Day weekend, we turned our lens to the workers who make the Columbia-Pacific thrive.
From the brewers at Buoy Beer who begin making their first batch at 5 a.m. in Astoria, to the loggers who chase the sunrise on dirt roads in the woods near Knappa.
We capture the nurse at Columbia Memorial Hospital who comforts each of her patients, and the brave men and women of the U.S. Coast Guard who keep our waters safe.
We recognize small businesses like Astoria Shoe Fix that provide some of the only leather repair work for miles, to large companies like Lektro Inc. in Warrenton that have made a global mark.
This is our coast at work.
