The North Coast Chapter of Oregon Equestrian Trails announces the second-annual Horsefest June 25 at the Clatsop County Fairgrounds.
This year features Mitch and Jolinn Hoover, equine clinicians. Their championship awards span a variety of disciplines, including Western performance, roping, reining, cattle and stock dog events, mountain trail, versatility ranch horse and cowboy challenges. Their world-record performances include the highest scoring run and the most consecutive open championships (seven times) at the National Mountain Trail Championship competition.
In addition to the Hoovers, many of last year’s presenters will return.
The goal is to educate horse owners and potential horse owners on horse stewardship and equine opportunities in the region. The focus is on horse ownership, nutrition, training and recreation opportunities, and the event includes seminars, vendor booths, displays and demonstrations throughout the day.
