For the Goonies fan who thinks they have everything, the Ear has found something new, quite different and best of all, free: An online Goonie Advent calendar, courtesy of “Mark Goonies” posting on The Goonies 30th Anniversary Facebook page, www.facebook.com/groups/Goonies30th

Every day, up to and including Christmas Eve, he’ll post a “selection of behind the scenes or other production based treasure to share with fellow fans.” You’ll have to join Facebook, and the group, if you haven’t already, to see the collection unfold — but diehard Goonie fans will find it well worth the bother.

The photo for Dec. 1 is shown. Here’s the description: “To kick-start us off we have a rare photograph of the framework, taken during the very early stages of the construction of the Lighthouse Lounge restaurant. This external set was constructed at Ecola State Park, close to Cannon Beach, under the guidance of the immensely talented, late set designer, Michael Riva. All the interiors, however, were filmed on a separate internal set at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank.” Enjoy.
