Brook and Allison Smith

Allison Quigley of Delta Junction, Alaska, daughter of Richard and Jennifer Quigley of Astoria, exchanged wedding vows with Brook Smith, also of Delta Junction, on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at the Winn Homestead in Weston. The groom is the son of Doug Smith and Mary Ann Jesse, both of Astoria.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents. The officiant was Sky Smith, brother of groom.

Maid of honor was Kristann Quigley of Warrenton, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Ariel Mercier of Sterling, Alaska, friend of the bride and groom, and Harmony Margart of College Place, Wash., sister of the groom.

Best man was Brent Culver of Astoria, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Forrest Smith of Nelson, New Zealand, and Lake Smith of Bend, brothers of the groom.

The bride is a 2008 graduate of Astoria High School, and a 2012 graduate (cum laude) of Eastern Oregon University, with a bachelor’s degree in multidisciplinary studies and elementary education. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in education from Eastern Oregon University, and is an elementary school teacher.

The groom graduated from Astoria High School in 2007. He graduated from Eastern Oregon University with bachelor’s degrees in history and English in 2012, and received his master’s degree in teaching in 2013, also from EOU. He is a high school social studies and English teacher.

A reception was held at Winn Homestead. Appetizers and dinner were provided by Graze Catering of Walla Walla, Wash., and dessert was a “build your own” ice cream sundae bar and wedding cupcakes by Frosted of Walla Walla. Music for the wedding and reception were provided by DJ Chad Pinkelman, of Lake Stevens, Wash., a friend of the bride and groom.

The newlyweds spent two months visiting 11 National Parks in 10 western and southwestern states, touring in their camper van. A winter getaway to someplace tropical will complete their honeymoon plans.

The couple resides in Delta Junction.
