LONG BEACH, Wash. — The Long Beach Grange No. 667 has a new facelift thanks to the Warrenton Home Depot Community Service Team, led by Lee Dohaniuk, the team project manager. These employees volunteer for community projects on their days off, and without compensation from the company.

The renovation included enlarging and replacing the bathroom doors to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) handicap requirements, painting the walls and ceilings, and replacing vents.

On the morning of May 28, the team of Home Depot volunteers arrived at the Long Beach Grange, equipped with everything needed to complete the task. The team members were Lorie Smith, Stacy Kinnear, KimmyKinnear, Connie Crisneros, Juanita May, with Dohaniuk and Arthur Koustik spearheading the team. The project commenced at 8:30 a.m. and was completed at 1:30 pm.

“They were an awesome team,” Grange Building Chairwoman Gwen Wagner said. “The Long Beach Grange No. 667 would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to the Warrenton Home Depot Volunteer Community Service Team for undertaking and completing the project. A special thank you to Lee Dohaniuk for coordinating the project.”

In addition to the improvements that were made to the Grange by the Home Depot team, other work such as a donation of carpeting for the entryway, two grants for the purchase of new vinyl windows and LED lighting have brightened the building. Grange members Rick Haug, Patti Bagley-Hill, Janet Herman, John Dawson, William Mundy, John Larson Gale Ahrens and Wagner painted the outside doors and reader board, putting new life into the building.

The public is invited to come see the Grange’s new look, Wagner said. It is located at 5715 Sandridge Road. For information, go to www.longbeachgrange.org, call 360-642-4953 or email longbeachgrange667@hotmail.com
