Aug. 12, 1940 — June 3, 2015

Susan E. Marshall, 74, loving mother, grandmother and sister, passed away June 3. She fought a long and courageous battle against cancer for 14 years. During this time she continued to work as the manager for longtime employer, Emerald Heights Apartments. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought the biggest joy to her life. She was a very loving and proud grandmother who will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her three sons Tom (wife Shari), Michael (wife Karyn), and John. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Cassandra, Jessica, Meghan, Michael II, Dillon and Abbye; and great-grandchildren Mia Sunshyne, Braxtyn, Autym and Stryker.

She was born Aug. 12, 1940, to Melva and Carlton King. She is survived by her sister, Sandra, and children Wendy, Rick and Scott.

A service has already been held.

Through life’s travels she loved the community of Astoria, and considered it home. Thank you to the many friends who supported her during the good and bad times.
