Laura Emily Johnson of Astoria, daughter of Kevin and Judy Johnson of Astoria, exchanged wedding vows with Steve B. Mart, also of Astoria, Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, at the Astoria Golf and Country Club in Warrenton, sponsored by Dr. Charles Starr. The groom is the son of Brian and Elaine Mart of Astoria.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents. The Rev. Sue Lenahan performed the ceremony.

Maid of honor was the bride’s little sister, Kayla Johnson of Astoria. Bridesmaids were the bride’s best friend, Holly Shigley of San Diego, and a cousin, Robyn Swanson of Corvallis. Flower girls were cousins Ruby Swanson of Corvallis and Cadence Sopko of Astoria.

Best man was the groom’s twin brother, Scott Mart of Astoria. Groomsmen were Brad Johnson of Medford, brother of the bride, and Ben Swanson of Corvallis, a cousin. Ring bearers were Wyatt Shigley, of San Diego, a godson, and Robert Johnson of Medford, a nephew.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Astoria High School and a 2005 graduate of Mount Hood Community College. She is a surgical technician in the Surgery Department at Columbia Memorial Hospital.

The groom graduated from Astoria High School in 1996. He is employed by Morisse Logging.

A reception was held at the Astoria Golf and Country Club. “Songbird” by Fleetwood Mac was performed by Pixie Andrea.

The honeymoon destination was Sandals in the Bahamas.

The couple resides in Astoria.
