Marvin Quaschnick went to heaven April 29, 2014.

Marvin Quaschnick was born Nov. 23, 1938, in Forbes, N.D. (McIntosh County). He is one of 10 children born to his parents, Reinhold Quaschnick and Clara (Feickert) Quaschnick of North Dakota. His parents sold the family farm and moved to Astoria, Ore.

Marvin joined the U.S. Navy, and proudly did his tour in Vietnam.

He will always be remembered for his quick wit, his love of life and family.

He is buried in Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Ore.
