A family friendly event — the Cannon Beach History Center & Museum’s annual trivia contest — is planned during the Cannon Beach Stormy Weather Festival.

The two-day contest will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 8 and 9.

Competitors can purchase a single trivia card for $2 each. Each card contains 10 questions that must be answered while in the museum. No cell phone or Internet searches are allowed.

“The event is a combination of scavenger hunt and trivia contest,” said Director Elaine Murdy-Trucke. “The answers to every single question are contained within the museum’s exhibits, even the bonus questions.”

Those who answer all 10 questions correctly will win a prize. Prizes include candy from Bruce’s Candy Kitchen, candles, toys and more.

The museum will be offer gourmet cupcakes and cookies, with complimentary Sleepy Monk coffee and hot chocolate.
