Sept. 26

5 a.m., 1200 block of Avenue F: Subject advised people outside his window, he now believes has guns; he was given a courtesy ride to Providence Seaside Hospital.

3:06 p.m., U.S. Highway 101: Caller reporting driver passing a bus with flashing red lights in oncoming traffic. Officers located the parked vehicle and advised the owner of complaint. Warning issued.

6:28 p.m., Fourth Avenue and the Promenade: Welfare check requested on intoxicated male. Officers contacted the subject and issued him a citation for earlier case in the day. Subject requested a cab and left.

7:53 p.m., North Downing Street: Caller reporting suspicious circumstances in a vehicle. Officers contacted subjects.

Sept. 27

2:12 a.m., First Avenue: Curfew violation; officer transported juvenile home.

3:14 a.m., 600 block of Broadway: Subject(s) warned for unlawful lodging.

3:43 a.m., Shoreline and Fifth Avenue: Subjects warned for liquor on the beach.

4:53 p.m., 2600 block of Sunset Boulevard: Caller reporting fireworks in the area. Officer responded and confiscated fireworks for destruction.

10:25 p.m., 11000 block of North Roosevelt Drive: Officer conducted traffic stop; charged driver with driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Sept. 28

12:42 a.m., 800 block of South Roosevelt Drive: Report of a possibly intoxicated driver. Officer made contact, was a sober driver.

4:12 p.m., Southbound on Highway 101 from 24th Avenue: Anonymous caller reporting erratic driving. Officer contacted subject, who stated other driver may have been upset over merging issue that occurred.

7:42 p.m., 1500 block of South Roosevelt Drive: Driver charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants.

8:33 p.m., 700 South Lincoln: Officer responded to verbal disturbance between father and daughter and advised all verbal and parties would separate for the night.

Sept. 29

2:14 p.m., 1000 block of South Downing Street: Anonymous caller reporting strong smell of marijuana. Officer contacted responsible of apartment, who advised he was in the process of getting a medical card.

4:04 p.m., 700 of South Wahanna Road: Providence Seaside Hospital requesting officer assistance regarding female refusing to leave after being discharged. Officer responded and escorted female out and Gearhart Police Department arrived to give female courtesy ride back to her residence.

7:41 p.m., 300 block of Columbia: Caller reporting persons attempting to start a fight with neighbors. Officer responded and advised of disorderly conduct charges if they had to return.

Sept. 30

8:13 a.m., 1100 block of Broadway: Report of transients sleeping under stairs of church next to the library. Officer made contact with subjects and gave them a warning regarding unlawful lodging. Pair advised they are going to Warrenton.

12:15 p.m., 900 block of 17th Avenue: Caller reporting subjects trespassing. Officers contacted subjects, advised of complaint and they agreed to move along.

3:35 p.m., Wahanna Road: Driving complaint from Oregon Department of Transportation of speeding motorcyclist. Officer located and warned driver of safe driving practices.

4:19 p.m., 11000 block of North Roosevelt Drive: Caller reported unwanted subjects. Officer contacted subjects and trespassed for six months from outlet mall.

Oct. 1

11:35 a.m., 1600 block of Whispering Pines: Subject reported hitting mailbox at location. Attempted to make contact at residence, though no one home. Will be returning to location to place contact information in mailbox.

12:19 p.m., 1100 block of Avenue B: Caller reported trespassing subjects. Officers arrived and the issue was handled civilly.

2:58 p.m., 2100 block of Lewis and Clark Road: Caller reporting van in parking lot with teens coming and going. Van left prior to officer’s arrival.

9:54 p.m., 300 block of South Columbia Street: Caller reported raccoon blocking his porch. Officer responded but the animal had skittered away prior to his arrival.

Oct. 2

9:15 a.m., 500 block of Broadway: Complaint of cream-colored van in parking lot with Virginia plates. Male subject allegedly doing surveying on tower. Officers made contact; he’s guest of the hotel.

2:12 p.m., U.S. Highway 101 and Pacific Way: Caller reporting possible intoxicated driver. Officer conducted traffic stop and the driver was not impaired.

6:26 p.m., 1700 block of Spruce Drive: Caller reported small children in the area asking for money. Officer contacted a group of children and they denied complaint.

Oct. 3

12:47 a.m., South Downing Street and Avenue E: Officer issued parking citation.

4:18 p.m., Roosevelt Drive near Seaside High School: Caller reporting teens hanging out a sunroof of a moving vehicle. Officers were at the scene of a motor vehicle accident and were unable to respond. It was most likely they were a car in the high school parade on the parade route.

11:21 p.m., Avenue G and Holladay Drive: Caller reported drunk persons threw a rock at his car. Officers responded. No damage was found and person described was not located.

11:56 p.m., 500 block of Avenue G: Officers dispatched to check on 911 hangup. Found intoxicated person who called because they couldn’t find their room.

Oct. 4

1:47 a.m., 1100 block of Avenue E: Caller reports daughter’s boyfriend won’t leave. Officers responded and he was leaving as they arrived. Subject verbally warned for trespassing.

9:56 a.m., Wahanna Road and U.S. Highway 101: Officer responded to report of political signs on public property. Officer removed signs that were on public property. Phone message left for owner of signs regarding signage.

Oct. 5

2:01 a.m., U.S. Highway 101: Seaside Police officer conducted traffic stop, arrested subject for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

9:20 a.m., 100 block of Oceanway: Caller reported male previously trespassed from Catholic church for threatening the Father, was in the parish building. Subject left the premises prior to officer arrival and complainant did not wish to pursue trespassing charges.

11:52 p.m., 700 block of South Wahanna Road: Report of a disturbance between security and an unwanted person. Subject just unwanted for the evening. Courtesy ride home from the officers.

Oct. 6

12:16, Columbia Street and Avenue E: Subject charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants and refusal to take a breath test.

1:26 p.m., 1300 block of North Holladay Drive: Caller reporting person reporting they are suicidal after being asked to leave treatment facility. Officer responded and stood by as subject went willingly with Medix to Providence Seaside Hospital.

6:39 p.m., Wahanna Ball Field: Caller reporting person setting up tent. Officer responded and contacted subject and advised of ordinance. Person will be moving on.

Oct. 7

12:09 a.m., Necanicum Estuary Parking Lot: Officer located a subject unlawfully lodging; he was warned.

7:57 p.m., 900 North Holladay Drive: Subject reported his cellphone stolen. Using his GPS, he had tracked his phone to a location near by. Officers met with subject to find out he was tracking himself while intoxicated.

11:17 p.m., Avenue A: Report of two males in a heated argument about drugs. Officers made contacts, subjects advised and are going to talk it out.

Oct. 8

11:42 a.m., Avenue P and Roosevelt Drive: Complaint of a vehicle parked on highway with expired tags. Officer cited the vehicle and tagged it for tow.

12:45 p.m., 100 block of Forest Drive: 911 hang up. On call back, spoke to a confused elderly man. After it was determined he was at an assisted living facility, I contacted the front desk and was assured the resident was OK.

7:15 p.m., 700 block of South Wahanna Road: Emergency room staff requested officer for combative patient. Subject was arrested for harassment and disorderly conduct.

Oct. 9

2:28 p.m., 1100 block of Broadway: Employee called due to a threatening subject in the pool area. Officer arrived and located the subject across the street at the pool. Subject was trespassed from the library.

3:11 p.m., Broadway and the Prom: Caller reporting a tip bucket in the Prom creating a trip hazard for walkers and bike riders. Officer advised.

4:28 p.m., Avenue A and Beach Drive: Officer assisted with information exchange after a motor vehicle accident.
