SEASIDE — Seaside Elks Lodge 1748, 324 Avenue A in Seaside, holds its annual Charity Ball Sept. 27, with seatings at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. The event, which helps support the Elks Scholarship Fund, includes dinner, a silent auction, raffles, surprise drawings and live music with 3T & Maggie. All community members are welcome.

Over the years, the Seaside Elks Lodge has donated approximately $93,100 in scholarships to local high school seniors. This year the awards were given to David Ward and Kaitlyn Cook ($1,000 each) and Max Beaudoin and Katy Kawasoe ($500 each).

Dinner includes choice of rib eye steak or Larry Elliott’s barbecued salmon, both served with an appetizer, roasted potatoes drizzled in olive oil and garlic, fried green beans, fresh baked roll, dessert and a complimentary glass of wine. The cost is $20 per person, and reservations are required.
