June 22

12:26 a.m. West Warren Way: camping within city limits. Subject warned for overnight camping.

12:39 a.m. 100 block of North Larch Street: camping within city limits. Subject warned for overnight camping.

1:25 a.m. West end of Harrison Street: camping within city limits. Two subjects warned for overnight camping.

2:05 a.m. Tolovana Wayside: camping within city limits. Two subjects warned for overnight camping.

12:15 p.m. Second and Spruce streets: call for information. Woman fell and hit her right temple on the ground. Tripped over a manhole cover about 10 yards south of the intersection (west side). Declined medical; had small laceration to the left palm area and towel on right temple area. Cannon Beach Fire and Rescue responded and administered care.

June 23

12:53 a.m. Second Street parking lot: subject warned for overnight camping city ordinance.

1:34 a.m. U.S. Highway 101 at Sunset Boulevard: DUII.

4:35 p.m. 200 block of North Hemlock Street: property crimes. Report of shoplifting of candy at Bruces Candy Kitchen. Fifteen- to 18-year-old male with Captain Crunch T-shirt with black backpack. Checked downtown area; unable to locate. Approximately $10 worth of candy taken.

June 24

5:12 a.m. Tolovana Wayside: camping within city limits. Subjects warned for overnight camping city ordinance.

11:32 p.m. U.S. Highway 101 at U.S. 26 junction: assistance provided to Clatsop County Sheriffs Office with the apprehension of suspect in rape case.

June 25

8:42 p.m. 500 block of Cherry Street: trespass notice. Office responded for report of a subject being wished trespassed from property. Officer arrived and spoke with parties involved. Subject was told to no longer contact the complainant.

June 26

12:19 a.m. Tolovana Wayside: camping within city limits. Two subjects warned for overnight camping.

3:40 p.m. Indian Beach Trail Head: assistance provided to Cannon Beach Fire and Rescue with a fire on beach.

5:12 p.m. Ecola Court: call for information. Report of civil issue between mother and son.

June 27

12:37 a.m. Elk Run Park: camping within city limits. Subject warned for overnight camping.

11 a.m. 3800 block of Pacific Street: assistance rendered. Complaint of invasive bamboo from neighbor. Neighbor was contacted and advised he would trim back the bamboo.

9:59 p.m. 300 block of Elk Creek Road: assistance provided to Emergency Medical Services. Patient with abdominal pain.

June 28

12:24 a.m. Pacific and Coos streets: DUII.

4:06 a.m. Les Shirley Park: camping within city limits. Two subjects warned for overnight camping.

12:42 p.m. Dawes Avenue and beach: driving on ocean shore. Citation issued for driving on the ocean shore.

6:08 p.m. 400 block of Elk Creek Road: possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

11:09 p.m. Tolovana Inn at beach: fireworks offense.

June 29

3:59 a.m. East Second Street parking lot: camping within city limits. Subject warned for overnight camping.

4:06 a.m. East Second Street parking lot: camping within city limits. Subject warned for overnight camping.

4:12 a.m. Gower Street parking lot: camping within city limits. Subject warned for overnight camping.

4:17 a.m. Les Shirley Park: camping within city limits. Two subjects warned for overnight camping.

12:28 p.m. Indian Beach: assistance provided to Cannon Beach Emergency Rescue. Officer responded to Ecola Park and Indian Beach for report of two surfers stuck in the depository. Officer assisted emergency rescue in locating the surfers. Surfers were able to self recover and return to the shore.

1:38 p.m. 100 block of North Hemlock Street: assistance provided to another agency. Officer responded for report of a female who had fallen. Officer assisted emergency rescue with a female patient who was having difficulty remembering. Patient was transferred to Providence Seaside Hospital by Medix.

3:35 p.m. East Adams and Hemlock streets: assistance provided to another agency. Officer responded for report of a motor vehicle vs. bicycle crash.

8:53 p.m. G Avenue and beach in Seaside: assistance provided to Seaside Police Department. Report of multiple people fighting on the beach. Assisted officers with attempting to locate suspects. 

11:04 p.m. South side of U.S. 26 junction: DUII. Subject was arrested for driving under the influence intoxicants. Subject provided a breath sample of 0.11 percent BAC, was cited and released.

June 30

1:45 a.m. Elkland and Glenwood courts: DUII.

2:35 a.m. Elkland and Glenwood courts: possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

July 1

1:18 a.m. 3000 block of South Hemlock Street: call on a disturbance. Officers located and contacted a male and female sitting in the road. Subjects were intoxicated and having a disagreement. Subjects were warned about the noise and offered a courtesy ride to their motel.

7:06 a.m. Chapman Point: camping within city limits. Subjects contacted and warned for unlawful lodging.

8:08 a.m. Les Shirley Park: warrant arrest. Overnight camper had contempt of court warrant out of Columbia County. Bike and camping equipment taken for safekeeping. Subject transported male to Clatsop County Sheriffs Office jail.

July 2

4:58 a.m. Oak Court: minor in possession of alcohol.

5:17 a.m. Les Shirley Park: camping within city limits. Subject warned for overnight camping.

8:53 a.m. U.S. Highway 101: assistance provided to Oregon State police with motor vehicle crash.

3:18 p.m. 3700 block of Coho Place: code violation. Unkempt vegetation constitution a fire hazard.

July 3

1:52 p.m. 100 block of North Larch Street: suicidal subject.

10:11 p.m. Gower Street and beach: fireworks offense. Officer observed a mortar going up on the beach. Contacted numerous fires on the beach but only found Oregon legal fireworks. Advised groups of fireworks ban on the beach.

10:49 p.m. Ecola Creek and beach: fireworks offense. Anonymous complaint about fireworks. Officer checked the area and was unable to locate.

10:51 p.m. Tolovana Wayside: fireworks offense. Complaint of fireworks on the beach. Unable to locate.

11:15 p.m. Fir and Fifth streets: fireworks offense. Report of fireworks; unable to locate.

July 4

12:34 a.m. East Second Street: camping within city limits. Two subjects warned for overnight camping.

12:44 a.m. East Second Street: camping within city limits. Two subjects warned for overnight camping.

3:49 p.m. West Second and Hemlock streets: missing person. Child reunited with parents prior to officers arrival.

7:27 p.m. Van Buren Street and beach: fireworks offense. Warning issued for illegal fireworks.

9:20 p.m. West end of Sitka street: fireworks offense. Warning for fireworks violation.

9:48 p.m. Delta Streets and beachfront: fireworks offense.

9:55 p.m. Ocean front: fireworks offense.

10 p.m. Beach at Kenai Street: fireworks offense. Warning issued for fireworks violation.

10:15 p.m. Mos: fireworks offense.

10:27 p.m. Beach at Kenai: fireworks offense. Warning issued for fireworks violation.

10:41 p.m. 3800 block of Ocean Avenue: fireworks offense.

10:41 p.m. Unknown: fireworks offense.

10:45 p.m. Beach at Jackson Street: fireworks offense. Warning issued for fireworks violation.

10:57 p.m. Hemlock and Chena streets: fireworks offense. Officer was driving south on Hemlock Street when he observed two Roman candles going off just west of Chena Street. Contacted two males who had them in their hands. They received a warning for illegal fireworks. Officer confiscated the remaining eight Roman candles.

11:13 p.m. Harrison Street and Rock Court: fireworks offense. Observed illegal fireworks. Officer contacted subjects, confiscated illegal fireworks and issued a warning.

11:24 p.m. Ocean shore and Harrison Street: fireworks offense. Officer observed fireworks, contacted party on the beach and confiscated two Roman candles.

11:46 p.m. Second Street: camping within city limits. Subjects contacted for overnight camping.

July 5

2:18 a.m. East Second Street: camping within city limits. Four subjects warned for overnight camping.

2:30 p.m. East Second Street: Two subjects warned for overnight camping.

4:14 p.m. West end of Siuslaw Street: camping within city limits. Subject warned for overnight camping.

4:52 a.m. Les Shirley Park: camping within city limits. Two subjects warned for overnight camping.

4:58 a.m. Les Shirley Park: camping within city limits. Two subjects warned for overnight camping.

5:07 a.m. Les Shirley Park: camping within city limits. Two subjects warned for overnight camping.

5:47 a.m. 1200 block of Pacific Street: camping within city limits. Subject warned for overnight camping.

1:13 p.m. Hemlock and Fernwood streets: dog/animal complaints. Dog removed from vehicle because heat and lodged in kennel. Owner later claimed the dog. Verbal warning issued by officer.

6:53 p.m. U.S. Highway 101 at Silver Point: possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

10:51 p.m. 4000 block of South Hemlock Street: fireworks offense.

11:37 p.m. Second Street restroom: camping within city limits. Subjects contacted for overnight camping.
