Student posters spread recycling message

Students from Clatsop and Yamhill counties participated in the 2014 Recycling Awareness Week Poster Contest. The contest is open to schools in Clatsop, Polk, Tillamook and Yamhill counties, and is held annually as part of the statewide promotional effort to help bring attention to the importance of recycling. This years contest kicked off on Earth Day.

This was the 16th year of the annual contest, sponsored by Recology Western Oregon. Posters were judged on creativity, originality, and most important, recycling message. The 12 winning student-artists received cash prizes for their efforts. The winning posters will be used to promote the 4 Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle & Recologize.
