Wayne Lee Klausman passed away in his home in Peoria, Arizona, on February 28th, at the age of 85. He was born to Hazel Leland (Moore) and Charles H Klausman, on December 17th, 1928, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he lived until his family moved West, to Portland, Oregon, in 1943.

Wayne left Benson Technical High School in Portland to join the United States Marine Corps in 1946, and served as an aviation mechanic for the F4U Corsair aboard the USS Rendova.

Wayne also served two terms in the Marine Reserves while starting a long and successful career in the trucking industry, where he met his wife of 56 years, Beryle Lee Klausman, who passed away four days after him.

Wayne and Beryle moved to Warrenton, Oregon, where he worked for TP-Freight, and eventually retired to the Phoenix area. Wayne was an accomplished woodworker, producing fine furniture and unique hardwood bowls.

An avid lover of history and a handyman extraordinaire, he will be missed by his neighbors, his children David, Diane, and Jeffrey and his grandchildren.
