Jan. 31
1:38 a.m., 800 block of Fifth Avenue: Caller reporting loud music that woke up the entire house. Officers were on another call at the time, but when they arrived, they contacted the responsible and there was no noise. They were advised of the complaint.
4:23 a.m., 500 block of Holladay Drive: 911 accidental dial from cell phone. Caller advised he leaned against a garbage can and his phone called 911. No emergency.
5:52 p.m., 300 block of South Roosevelt Drive: Third-party report of motor vehicle collision with a pedestrian, and the parties were arguing. Officer arrived, no collision occurred, but words were exchanged. Driver was gone upon officer’s arrival.
Feb. 1
1:53 a.m., 800 block of South Roosevelt Drive: Report of a possibly intoxicated driver. Left the area southbound on U.S. Highway 101. Cannon Beach officers advised.
4:57 a.m., 2400 block of Neawanna Street: Report of two men carrying boxes away from the house. Reporting party did not know any men lived at the house. Officers made contact, subjects just moving out.
10:21 a.m., Avenue A and Columbia Street: Caller reported a driver leaving two infants in car seats unattended for approximately 10 minutes. Officers were on priority calls and unable to attempt to locate.
Feb. 2
12:53 a.m., Broadway and Franklin Street: Report of a disturbance. Subject had fallen and hurt her face. She was picked up along with the others and transported.
11:07 a.m., 1200 block of South Edgewood Street: Caller reported finding possibly stolen items in a lake. Officer responded and found the items to be trash only, all were disposed of properly.
1:01 p.m., Surfers parking lot: Disturbance over surfer’s territory. Verbal only.
Feb. 3
1:12 a.m., 400 block of North Prom: Hotel employee reporting an intoxicated man looking for a bar. Officer checked the area and found no one matching the description provided.
8:41 p.m., 1600 block of Broadway: Person in to check welfare of person who she was receiving disturbing texts from. Officer contacted subject and he stated he was not planning on hurting himself and was advised to contact complainant.
9:50 p.m., 2100 block of South Franklin Street: Caller reported loud music from neighbors. Officers contacted the people in the apartment and advised them of the complaint. They agreed to keep the music down.
Feb. 4
1:29 a.m., 1300 block of North Holladay Drive: Officer made contact with subject lurking in the street. Case taken for information.
2:20 p.m., 400 block of South Roosevelt Drive: Caller reported panhandler. Sign asking for “Help,” not blocking vehicular or pedestrian traffic, no violation and no contact with subject.
5:52 p.m., 1900 block of Spruce Drive: Ongoing neighbor dispute, this time regarding loud music caller thinks is not too loud, but neighbor thinks it is. Officer contacted complainant and asked her to turn subwoofer off, which seemed to alleviate the problem. Neighbor would not answer door.
Feb. 5
12:55 p.m., 1000 block of Avenue I: Civil issue regarding belongings being packed up by roommate. Room was being illegally sublet by complainant. Officer advised complainant of options.
5:34 p.m., Sunset Boulevard: Caller reported possible swimmer in distress. Fire office and state trooper reported the orange object was a cluster of crab buoys. USCG advised.
6:48 p.m., 300 block of South Roosevelt Drive: Caller reported couple possibly smoking marijuana in their vehicle with a child present. Vehicle was unoccupied upon officer’s arrival.
Feb. 6
12:50 a.m., 30 block of North Prom: Request for officer assistance to remove unruly guests who had been warned several times regarding their behavior. Officers responded and gave subjects a courtesy ride to another motel.
9:58 a.m., 1200 block of Avenue A: Request for welfare check on subject she hasn’t spoken to in a week. Reporting party called back to say she was at a doctor appointment.
9:57 p.m., Avenue D and South Lincoln Street: Female reporting she was hit in the head by her dad. No injuries, no one wanted to file harassment charges. Subjects going to bed and have come to an agreement.
Feb. 7
12:37 a.m., 20 block of Avenue A: Report of a subject unloading his car. Reporting party thought he may be trying to unlawfully lodge.
3:40 p.m., 1200 block of Jackson Street: Caller reported suspicious circumstances on his video surveillance. Officer responded and advised no identifiable suspect. Only the backs of people observed.
7:57 p.m., 400 block of South Roosevelt Drive: Caller reporting person panhandling that they wanted out of premise. Officer advised subject gone upon arrival.
Feb. 8
12:28 a.m., 20 block of Avenue A: Report of a highly intoxicated female at the front desk, she does not know where her room is. She was taken to a responsible and released.
1:56 a.m., 500 block of Beach Drive: Anonymous report of people yelling and laying in the road. Officers searched the area, unable to locate. The complainant came out and said the people went to a hotel in the area.
12:38 p.m., 1200 block of Broadway: Person reported kids throwing snowballs at cars. Officer checked and kids were unable to locate.
Feb. 9
12:22 a.m., 1500 block of Lea Way: Anonymous complaint of loud music. Officer made contact, subject was advised about the loud music, after he admitted to cranking it up.
11:00 a.m., 900 block of North Holladay Drive: Anonymous caller reported drug activity. Caller was transferred to the narcotics hotline. Officer responded to the location but received no answer at the door. They will check back again later.
3:30 p.m., South turnaround: Caller reported two dogs at large on the beach dropped there by red pickup that drove off. Officers located and impounded two dogs.
Feb. 10
4:59 a.m., Safeway: Officer out with subject who was walking in the middle of the road and refused to move out of the way. Officer warned him for disorderly conduct.
7:57 a.m., 1100 block of North Roosevelt Drive: Caller reported two subjects in a vehicle and felt that it was suspicious. Officer was advised; the complainant called back before the officer arrived that they had left.
11:23 a.m., Avenue E at the beach: Caller reported a bus parked on the street and possibly people sleeping inside. Officer responded and found it to be legally parked and no one inside.
Feb. 11
2:50 p.m., 300 block of South Roosevelt Drive: Caller reported finding hypodermic needle with what appeared to be blood inside. Officer disposed of needle in sharp’s container.
7:39 p.m., 1300 block of 11th Avenue: Request for welfare check on patient who was heard falling on phone call and wouldn’t answer phone on call back. Address given was no longer occupied adult foster home. Voicemail left for complainant.
10:33 p.m., 500 block of North Roosevelt Drive: Officer assisted business owner in retrieving the awnings that blew off the building and across the highway.
Feb. 12
2:31 a.m., 100 block of Forest Drive: Caller reporting suspicious subjects outside. Officers arrived and were unable to locate anyone outside or in the area.
4:37 a.m., Avenue S near the storage units: Caller reporting suspicious truck on side of road. Officers contacted a subject inside waiting for a ride. It was broken down.
11:36 p.m., 800 block of South Roosevelt Drive: Report of an intoxicated driver that hit a building. Officers unable to locate the vehicle in the area, information passed on to Cannon Beach.
Feb. 13
6:47 a.m., 1000 block of 24th Avenue: Report of a man screaming and yelling about someone being in his bed. Officers unable to locate anyone in his bed.
11:56 a.m., 800 block of 24th Avenue: Caller reported suspicious male in the area. Officers responded, but were unable to locate anyone. Others in the area had not seen a male acting suspiciously.
10:22 p.m., 1800 block of North Columbia Street: Report of people acting suspiciously walking the beach with a flashlight. Subjects beach combing.
