Travel Astoria unveils secrets

The Astoria-Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce and the Lower Columbia Tourism Committee have launched a new tourism-focused website at TravelAstoria.com

The new site features fresh and inspirational content to attract visitors to the region, and the updated design maps to the look and feel of the Pure Character advertising campaign started earlier by the Chamber, organizers said.

Visitors can now find travel itineraries, events, Astoria-Warrenton area trip ideas from Travel Oregon, newsletter archives, updated business listings and more. The new site is designed to work well on all devices, including tablets and phones, to help visitors discover great places to eat and drink, where to stay and where to walk on the beach or get the best view while they are traveling in the region.

Sweepstakes

To celebrate and drive traffic to the new website, the Chamber is hosting a sweepstakes at TravelAstoria.com, running Monday through March 16. The sweepstakes features an ultimate weekend getaway with lodging, meals, attractions and adventure for two. The Chamber will promote the sweepstakes through advertising and Astoria-Warrenton social media channels.

Sharing the new site with your fans and followers.

Participating in their program by hosting materials promoting the new site at businesses.

The Chamber will launch the sweepstakes to its e-newsletter subscribers and on the Travel Astoria-Warrenton Facebook Page and OldOregon Twitter account Monday and promote it heavily through Feb. 18. After that, it will shift its content strategy to share the resources available on the new TravelAstoria.com, with one final sweepstakes post before the end of the campaign March 16.
