Wedding: Wenker – Gosser

Shelby Wenker of Seaside, daughter of Lise and Geoff Wenker of Scappoose, exchanged wedding vows with Jeff Gosser of Seaside Sept. 21, 2013, the fall solstice. The groom is the son of Donna and Daryl Gosser of Seaside.

The wedding was held at the brides parents farm in Scappoose. The ceremony was performed by the couples friend, Josh Echroth, under a gazebo the groom built for the occasion. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Music for the ceremony was provided by the Beaverton Symphonys La Musica quartet.
The bride wore a vintage-inspired dress with a sweetheart neckline with custom detail. She carried a calla lily bouquet, and wore a gold cross given to her by the grooms grandmother (something old) and borrowed yellow sapphire earrings from her mother (something new).
Matron of honor was Meggie Pelzer of Sherwood. Bridesmaids were Megan Shreeve of Medford, Meg Graue of Beaverton and Sherry Craton of Seaside. Flower girl was the couples golden retriever, Lucy.

Best man was Eric Horning of Seaside. Groomsmen were Matt Long and Travis Gosser of Seaside and Troy Thoreson of Astoria. Usher was Luke Wenker of Portland.
The bride graduated from Scappoose High School in 2003 and from Oregon Health and Science University in 2008. She is an emergency room registered nurse in Seaside.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of Seaside High School and a 2006 graduate of Arizona State University. He works in the city of Seaside utilities department.
A reception was held at the brides parents home and farm under a clear top tent.
The wedding trip was to Colorado.
The couple resides in Seaside.
