1:11 a.m. U.S. Highway 101: driving under the influence of intoxicants. Male subject arrested with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.04 percent.
11:50 a.m. 3500 block of South Hemlock Street: code violation. Garbage in driveway.
11:51 a.m. 3500 block of South Hemlock Street: code violation. Junk vehicle.
11:51 p.m. 100 block of East Madison Street: assistance provided to Cannon Beach Fire and Rescue with lift rescue.
Sept. 30
6:28 p.m. 100 block of East Madison Street: assistance provided to Cannon Beach Fire and Rescue with lift rescue.
2:25 p.m. 100 block of Sunset Boulevard: fraud. Report of unauthorized use of a credit card to make unauthorized purchases online.
2:30 p.m. 1200 block of South Hemlock Street: criminal trespass I. Subject trespassed from Sleepy Monk Coffee and its affiliated businesses.
2:30 p.m. 1200 block of South Hemlock Street: stalking.
Oct. 1
2:05 a.m. 100 block of South Laurel Street: unsecure premise. Garage door left open. Inner door access to home unlocked. Checked interior of home. No signs of disturbance. Front door was also discovered unlocked. Front door was locked, and exterior garage door was closed.
4:44 a.m. 100 block North Hemlock Street: false commercial alarm.
11:38 a.m. 100 block of West Way: call for information. Officer will follow up with planning department.
Oct. 2
12:41 p.m. 100 block of Sunset Boulevard: dog at large. Officer responded to Columbia Bank for a report of a dog at large. Dog was identified and returned to its owner.
8:47 p.m. Elk Creek Terrace: call for information.
Oct. 3
11:58 a.m. Mos: welfare check. Report of white dog in vehicle.
Oct. 4
11 a.m. East Jackson and Spruce streets: dog vs. dog bite.
7:21 p.m. Beach at Haystack Rock: traffic complaint. Vehicle parked on beach by Haystack Rock, had proper ADA beach permit.
7:51 p.m. 1200 block of South Hemlock Street: property found, purse. Found on beach by Haystack Rock. Turned in at hardware store. (Returned to owner on Oct. 5.)
Oct. 5
1:08 a.m. Hemlock and Center streets: minor in possession of alcohol. Juvenile subject cited.
4:49 a.m. 200 block of North Hemlock Street: unsecure premise. While on foot patrol downtown, Officer Collins found the front door of the businesses unsecured. He cleared the interior of the building, then contacted the owner, who responded and said everything appeared to be OK.
8:20 a.m. Les Shirley Park: camping within city limits. Two subjects warned.
12:25 p.m. Beach: property found, check card. Bank was contacted by phone. They contacted the owner, who claimed the card.
12:26 p.m. 100 block of West Delta Street: false alarm. House guest not familiar with alarm system.
3:30 p.m. 200 block of West Second Street: property found, Visa card. Found on sideway and turned in to motel. Owner phoned, requested the card be destroyed.
5:54 p.m. North of Moes Restaurant on Hemlock Street: dog/animal complaints. Dog impounded at Susitna and Hemlock streets. Released to owner at 6:55 p.m.
6:10 p.m. Susitna and Hemlock streets: property found, prescription drugs. Found in plastic bag.
8:54 p.m. 100 block of West Gower Street: motor vehicle accident. Witness saw suspect hit wooden fence at Surfsand Resort parking lot and then leave. Contacted suspect who said she will contact Surfsand to make restitution.
9:31 p.m. Morris Fireside Restaurant: information exchange.
9:41 p.m. 100 block of South Hemlock Street: false alarm at DragonFire Studio and Gallery
11:06 p.m. 100 block of Warren Way: false alarm. Dispatched to report of an alarm sounding showing front-door entry. Building was secure with no signs of attempted forced entry.
Oct. 6
12:38 a.m. Parking lot behind post office: camping within city limits. Subject contacted and warned.
4:14 a.m. City Hall parking lot: camping within city limits. Subject warned for unlawful lodging.
6:49 a.m. 100 block of Warren Way: false residential alarm.
10:28 a.m. Hemlock and Gower streets: driving suspended and revoked. A female subject was cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured, and a male subject was cited for an open container. The vehicle was impounded.
12:10 p.m. 500 block of North Laurel Street: assistance provided to another agency with a medical call.
1 p.m. Hemlock Street and Dawes Avenue: property found, credit card. Found on sidewalk. Phoned owner, who requested card be destroyed. Card destroyed.
3:12 p.m. 3900 block of South Hemlock Street: call for information. Report of possible burglary. Investigation showed the broken window caused by a storm door opening into it. This most likely occurred during the previous weeks high-wind storm.
4:30 p.m. 200 block of North Hemlock Street: motor vehicle accident, hit-and-run. Report of hit-and-run damage to vehicle parked in off-street parking. No suspects at this time.
4:44 p.m. 500 block of North Laurel Street: suspicious circumstances. Officers received a report of a man shouting statements such as Im dead in the area of 500 Ash Street. Officers located the male and determined that it was an argument between family members.
10:51 p.m. Second Street restroom parking lot: camping within city limits. Subject warned.
10:57 p.m. Second Street restroom parking lot: camping within city limits. Three subjects warned.
Oct. 7
3:06 a.m. Tolovana Inn parking lot: camping within city limits. Subject(s) advised of city ordinance and cleared.
11:45 a.m. Unknown: property lost, wallet. Anonymous person turned in the found wallet. Wallet returned to owner.
12:11 p.m. 200 block of North Hemlock Street: code violation, unfounded.
12:58 p.m. 3700 block of Coho Place: assistance provided to another agency with a medical call.
5:08 p.m. 100 block of South Hemlock Street: false commercial alarm.
9:57 p.m. 85000 block of Highway 101: assistance provided to Seaside Police Department with a domestic disturbance.
10:21 p.m. Highway 101 at milepost 26: traffic stop. Vehicle impounded.
Oct. 8
9 a.m. Ocean shore: property lost, gold bracelet.
9:26 a.m. 400 block of Crescent Court: missing person. Report of two juvenile males not arriving at school. Upon officer arrival, parents located juveniles near the residence. Juveniles did not want to go to school that day.
10 a.m. U.S. Highway 101 at milepost 30: call for information. A truck had dropped several sheets of sheet rock on the highway. Officer responded and cleared them from the highway.
4:47 p.m. U S. Highway 101 and North Cannon Viewpoint: emergency medical response. Assistance provided to Cannon Beach Fire and Rescue with subject who fell while riding bicycle on highway.
5:19 p.m. 100 block of West Madison Street: dog/animal complaints.
11:14 p.m. Hug Point: assistance provided to another agency.
Oct. 9
3:15 a.m. 900 block of South Hemlock Street: suspicious circumstances: Caller reporting something slamming into the back of the hotel. Officers arrived and found a four-legged creature making quite a fuss. All parties were contacted and advised of the circumstances.
9:14 a.m. 300 block of Elk Creek Terrace: criminal mischief II. Offer responded to a report of four tires being punctured on complainants vehicle. There were no witnesses to the damage.
1:40 p.m. U.S. Highway 101 southbound/north entrance: welfare check. Checked report of a young girl hitchhiking in area of north end. Female, a 20-year-old and in no distress, on her way to San Francisco.
Oct. 10
12:54 a.m. Unknown: property found, Oregon drivers license.
10:48 a.m. Pacific and Hemlock streets: call for information. Officer responded to a report of a car vs. a stop sign. There were no injuries.
3:21 p.m. 100 block of East Gower Street: drivers license confiscated.
Oct. 11
3 a.m. Driftwood Inn: camping within city limits. Subjects warned for unlawful lodging.
8:10 a.m. 500 block of Vine Maple Court: welfare check. Officer checked person, who was OK.
8:52 a.m. 100 block of North Hemlock Street: false burglary alarm.
10:35 p.m. 400 block of Elkland Court: assistance provided to Cannon Beach Fire and Rescue with a man who was unable to walk and requesting transport to the hospital.
Oct. 12
1:05 a.m. Les Shirley Park: camping within city limits. Subject warned for unlawful lodging.
7:26 a.m. 100 block of West Harrison Street: parking complaint. Officer identified the vehicle of complaint and found it not to be in any violation.
8:43 a.m. Sleepy Monk Coffee: welfare check.
7:50 p.m. 3900 block of South Hemlock Street: suspicious circumstances. Home owner reported that there were several items in her residence that either did not belong or were out of place.
8:28 p.m. Arcadia Beach: reckless burning. Report of a fire next to the restrooms at Arcadia Beach. The fire was found to have been an expended box of fireworks that was placed against the north side of the restrooms and re-ignited. A witness reported that two families had been setting off fireworks on the beach before leaving the area.
9:27 p.m. Fifth Street: camping within city limits. Subject warned for unlawful lodging.
10:23 p.m. Sewer ponds at Second Street: camping within city limits. Subjects warned for unlawful lodging.
11:37 p.m. Driftwood Restaurant: suspicious circumstances.
11:58 p.m. 31000 block of Markham Lane: assistance provided to another agency on a medical call.
Oct. 13
1:44 p.m. 100 block of East Dawes Avenue: suspicious circumstances. Officer responded to a report of a female making unlawful entry into an apartment.
Oct. 13
7:30 a.m. Conference Center: property lost. Walk-in reported having lost his wallet the evening before. (Owner reported finding his wallet on Oct. 13.)
10:11 a.m. 400 block North Hemlock Street: assistance provided to another agency on a medical call.
10:23 a.m. 1200 block of South Hemlock Street: assistance provided to another agency on a medical call.
11:30 a.m. 100 block of East Gower Street: prescription take-back program.
7:19 p.m. U.S. Highway 101 at south entrance: traffic complaint. Caller reported possible intoxicated driver, swerving all over the road, entering Cannon Beach at the south entrance. Located driver at the Tolovana Wayside. Driver wasnt intoxicated. Reported mechanical problems with steering of the vehicle.
8:09 p.m. midtown restrooms: suspicious circumstances. Caller reporting suspicious circumstances. Male outside of the midtown restroom bending over, belching. Contacted male who states that he was waiting for the morning bus to Astoria. Officer advised the male that camping is not allowed in the city limits and cleared.
8:23 p.m. U.S. Highway 101 at Second Street: possession of marijuana.
10:44 p.m. 147 East Dawes Avenue: welfare check. Resident called her landlord concerned because her neighbors dog had been barking for the last five hours. Neighbor stated that was unusual. Landlord requested welfare check. Officer went to residence, found front door unlocked. Dog was inside, but no one else was home.
