LONG BEACH Many Clatsop and Pacific county businesses and attractions were among the 72 winners in KING 5-televisions Best of the Northwest: Great Getaways contest for 2013.

Cannon Beach won Best Beach voting, while Long Beach was second. Long Beach was 4th in the Best Tourist Town category.

Cape Disappointment State Park was 3rd place Best State Park and also was in 3rd place for storm watching.

Cannon Beach was listed as 3rd Best Surfing Destination, and Long Beach was 4th.

Seaside was 2nd place Best Girls Weekend Destination (beating downtown Portland, which was 4th.)

Cape Disappointment Lighthouse was voted 3rd best lighthouse in the region.

The Tokeland Hotel in northwest Pacific County was the 3rd Best Haunted Place in our region

Boreas Bed and Breakfast Inn was in 4th place in the regions Best Bed and Breakfast category, the fifth consecutive year of top-five finalist honors.

Cannon Beach RV Resort was 4th in the Best RV Park category.

Mermaid Inn in Long Beach was 5th in Best Motel voting.

Seabreeze Charters in Ilwaco was awarded 4th place in the Best Fishing Charter category.

The Wave in Cannon Beach was 5th Best Vacation Rental

Evening Magazines The Best of the Northwest Escapes profiles regional businesses in 71 vacation, lifestyle and entertainment categories. Online voting started on March 18, and closed on April 12. Finalists were announced on April 30.
