Paula Brownhill and Blair Henningsgaard of Astoria announce the engagement of their daughter, Anna Louise Henningsgaard of Reston, Va., to Brendan John Berg, also of Reston. He is the son of Gerri and David Berg of San Francisco.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Astoria High School and Vassar College. She is the vice president of operations at WMC Global.

The prospective groom attended the Branson School and Vassar College. He is a Ph.D. candidate in mathematics at the University of Maryland.

A July 27 wedding is planned at the Barbey Maritime Center in Astoria.
