Obituary: Beverly Cadman

Beverly Cadman passed away the evening of Sunday, March 10, 2013.
Beverly was born October 28,1925, in International Falls, Minnesota, to Peter and Violet Gylland.
She lived in Denver, CO, and San Francisco, CA, working for the railroads, and became an avid skier. She married Ben Cadman in San Francisco in 1954. They were married just 1 month short of 59 years.
Beverly became a mother and homemaker raising four children in Tillamook, but retuned to school in her 60s, earning a degree in sociology. She worked for a time with the Tillamook Crisis Center, and retired to Seaside in 1987.
She liked to cook, and was always trying new recipes, knitting sweaters for her family and raising orchids. She enjoyed traveling and visited many places across North America, plus Hawaii, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Jamaica and Indonesia.
She is survived by her husband, Ben, of Seaside; sister, Nancy Osterlund of Toledo; sons, Skip of Astoria, Scott of Boise, Idaho; daughters, Robin Meils of Livingston, MT, and Sandra of Tillamook; 1 granddaughter and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, at the Seaside Methodist Church, located at 241 N. Holladay Drive. A reception will be held after the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Seaside United Methodist Church or Oregon State PEO Chapter CR.
