At a recent city council meeting mention was made of buying more benches for downtown Astoria. Whoever is going to purchase them should be aware that the ones they have now are very uncomfortable, almost useless for the elderly or handicapped, and they are not weathering well.

Please get some benches with backs and sides. Think of the comfort of users and not just aesthetics.
