Joseph Freeman Leas, 70, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Portland, OR. He was born December 8, 1942, in Louisville, KY.

Joe held many jobs in his life, but foremost he was an Ordained Lutheran Minister with his last call served at Faith Lutheran Church in Seaside, OR. Joes retirement years were spent traveling full-time in his RV with his home bases in Sherwood, OR and Seaside, OR.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Virginia (Ginger) Leas; daughters, Heidi Senick of Seaside, Jennifer (David) Rackliffe of Sherwood and Wendy (Christopher) Stafford of Seaside; grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, Michael, Annie and Andrew; brother, Mark Leas; sister, Sue Ellen Rothberg and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

His parents; one brother, Tom Leas; and infant granddaughter, Heather preceded him in death.

Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. on March 16 at Living Saviors Lutheran Church, 8740 SW Sagert St. Tualatin, OR 97062.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the restoration fund of Living Savior Lutheran Church in Tualatin, Oregon.
