Alexis Godwin of Astoria, a student at Astoria High School and daughter of Steve Godwin and Carrie and Scott Wood, was recently selected to participate in the 2013 Miss Teen Portland pageant Feb. 24.

She will compete in the Miss Teen division, one of four divisions that will have young ladies ages 7-19 competing in modeling routines and interviewing with the Portland judging panel. Personality is the No. 1 aspect that each contestant is judged on during all phases of competition. Whoever is selected as Miss Teen Portland will represent Portland and the surrounding communities at the national competition in Orlando, Fla.
