Obituary: Loletha Faith Lolly Mitchell

Loletha Faith Lolly Mitchell, 60, of Knappa, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, in Astoria, with her family at her side.

She was born Oct. 19, 1952, in Portland, to Claude F. and Evelyn E. (Hetrick) Mitchell.

Ms. Mitchell was employed at The Logger Restaurant and Lounge in Knappa for 13 years. She was a dedicated, hard worker. She has lived in Knappa for the past 14 years. Before that, she lived in Portland and Wyoming.

Family members said was a free spirit. She loved her co-workers and the Highclimber Lounge patrons, and she had several close friends she loved to spend time with after work. She cherished her grandchildren and enjoyed the time spent with them. She loved animals, and Clyde, Little Beans, and Hachi Kitty were especially close to her. Crosswords were her passion, as well as good books.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Brian Van Gundy of Knappa; a son, Christopher Fuzz Mitchell of Cody, Wyo.; six grandchildren, Sarah and Beverly Miller of Knappa, Mercedes and Christopher Robinson of New Mexico and Dylan and Ryan Mitchell of Cody; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Gene L. Mitchell of Greybull, Wyo., and Bob and Kathy Mitchell of Portland; a sister and brother-in-law, Claudia and John Hendryx of Greybull; a great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Sharon L. Bloom and Rose M. Hendryx; and a brother, David G. Mitchell.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Ocean View Cremation & Burial Service in Astoria is in charge of the arrangements.
