I would like to make a needed correction to the article entitled The Haunting of HESS MANSION on Halloween, Pastor CHRIS SCHAUERMANN told the Ear. The article stated that I was the owner of the Hess Mansion (pictured). I would love to be the owner but the truth is that my family and I are only squatters on the property.

Sadly, the Ear was led astray by an article about the house that led to the mistaken conclusion that the Schauermanns were the owners. The Ear is standing in the corner.

The Hess family are, and have always been, the owners of the house we live in, Chris added. DANNY and CAROL HESS and their family are quite possibly the most generous people I have ever met they have let us live in the house for 21 years, and it has allowed our family of 15 to enjoy a life way beyond our income. Thank you, Hess family, for all you have done for our family and for our community!
