SEASIDE – Each year our organization, The Cameron Highlanders of the Northwest and our civil war reenactment unit, the 79th New York Highlanders, Co “C” do a road march from the Seaside Turn Around to Ft. Stevens.

This is to challenge our lads, remind them of the men who did this 150 years ago and to let the public know about the weekend activities at Ft. Stevens with battles, demonstrations and more Saturday through Monday.

Our men will arrive at the Turn Around around 6:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 31.

This year we find ourselves without transportation to bring the men and their gear down to Seaside from Ft Stevens. If you are aware of anyone with a small bus or large passenger van, we will pay for the gas. Need to transport 8-10 of our lads. I can be reached on my cell at : (503) 314-9998.
