Dr. Marissa Knutson

SEASIDE – Coastal Eye Care is pleased to announce the arrival of Dr. Marissa Knutson to serve at the company’s Long Beach, Astoria and and Seaside clinics.

Some may already recognize Dr. Knutson who completed an internship at Coastal Eye Care as part of her training.

Dr. Knutson, born and raised in North Dakota, completed her Bachelors in Science degree at North Dakota State University before studying optometry and earning her Doctorate at Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove. She is affiliated with the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association, American Optometric Association, and Beta Sigma Kappa Professional Honor Society.

Knutson enjoys all aspects of eye care and is especially concerned with helping the under-served populations of the world.

She helped provide eye care to indigent populations in Nicaragua as well as those less fortunate through Habitat for Humanity and Family Bridge Shelter near Portland. 

She enjoys participating in outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and fishing. Playing sports and working with children also top her list of favorite things to do.

With the arrival of Dr. Knutson, each Coastal Eye Care Clinic office will be staffed with a Doctor four to five days per week.
