Jim and Joni Osborn of Astoria announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer K. Osborn of Sombor, Serbia, to Nenad Tunguz of Badhoevedorp, The Netherlands. He is the son of Nevenka Tunguz of Budva, Montenegro, and the late Zdravko Tunguz.

The bride-to-be is a 1996 graduate of Astoria High School. She received a bachelors degree in intercultural studies from Pacific Christian College in Fullerton, Calif., in 2001, and a masters degree in education from California State University, Fullerton, in 2008. She is an early childhood special education teacher.

The prospective groom received a bachelors degree in English and English literature from the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 1998. In 2001, he received a masters degree in divinity from Tyndale Theological Seminary in Badhoevedorp, The Netherlands, where he is the director of administration and admissions.

A July 8 wedding is planned in Novi Sad, Serbia.
