Donations taken at the car wash will go to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
“This is my platform for my participation in the Miss Oregon Scholarship Pageant,” Bacon said. “I don’t think many people realize in today’s society there are so many kids that have cancer. St. Jude provides care for the children whose families cant afford cancer treatment.”
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is located in Memphis, Tenn. The late entertainer Danny Thomas opened the hospital in 1962.
