Because of the continuing heavy rain on the North Coast the National Weather Service in Portland has issued a flood warning for the Nehalem River near Foss, affecting Clatsop and Tillamook counties and also for the Wilson River near Tillamook.

The warning is in effect until at least Friday afternoon.

Drivers are warning to use caution in low-lying areas.

The Nehalem River may rise above flood level by 9 p.m. Thursday night and may crest at 14 feet. Flooding is expected in low-lying farm land in the region.
